We went to the Hardin County Fair yesterday. It was my first time. We had joked for years about going to the tractor pull at the Fair. Ben’s mom called last week to let us know that the fair was this year, so we decided to go. The tractor pull was earlier in the week, but the Mud Sling was Saturday. We got there around 7 and saw some of the arts and crafts exhibits. We also saw a dog show. I’ll try upload some video I took.
Here are some pictures from the Mud Sling taken with my iPhone.
After watching the Mud Sling for a few hours, we went to the rides. The fair admission was $9, but it included unlimited rides, so it actually wasn’t too bad. Ben, Rick, and I rode the Star Ship 2000 ride. It’s the big spinny ride that you stand up and gravity takes over and the bottom drops out, but you still stay up because it’s spinning around so fast. But you don’t really feel like it. It’s a weird feeling.
I found some videos on YouTube:
Benjamin, Kay, and I also rode the Pirate Ship thing. I don’t normally like those types of rides, but I went ahead and did it. It wasn’t too bad, but once we got up to a certain point, I had to close my eyes!
