I survived the Louisville Zombie Attack! You might be asking, what the heck is a zombie attack? Well, it’s an annual tradition here in Louisville. Hundreds of people, maybe a thousand or two, dress up like zombies and walk down Bardstown Road on August 29 at 8:29 p.m. It’s even listed on Louisville listing on Wikipedia.org. Here is the main site for the organization.
Here are some of pictures:
And one of my favorites:
It stated at 8:29 at the corner of Bardstown Road and Eastern Parkway. They walked North, toward Downtown and stopped at Bearno’s. Last year (the summer that Michael Jackson died) had a focus/buzz around Thriller and a dance group did the Thriller dance. My mom is a big fan and watched it last year. This year, I didn’t hear anything about the Thriller performance, but once we got to Bearno’s, there was a small group of teenage girls crowded around. We waited what seemed like 30 minutes, but they finally did the Thriller dance. I got it recorded on my phone, but I still haven’t uploaded it yet- but hopefully this week!
