A lot of the free time I have had the last few weeks have been devoted to get my entries into the State Fair completed. Our family competes in the textile, culinary, and fine arts categories at the annual Kentucky State Fair each August. Not everyone enters every year, but several people do. I think there are 5 of us, plus a younger cousin is in the 4H competition this year, so it will be fun. Our family (normally about 12 of us) all meet up right before it opens and lines up next to the door. Then it’s kind of a mad dash. Everyone goes in different directions to see if anyone won any ribbons. The weekend before the fair (this weekend), things in our categories must be dropped off. They will then judge them and have things ready for Thursday!
I dropped off my things this morning.
