This year, without having my christmas decorations with us at our apartment- it’s difficult to get into the christmas spirit.
I’ll be visiting family in week and I’m sure that will help, but I just saw a post for pipe cleaner candy canes and was reminded again that I haven’t done any christmas crafts or decorations- boo! Oh well, lots of years ahead to do that!

Mark another item off my list- HIKING!
Last Sunday, I went hiking with Julienne and Lucy! It was lots of fun and great exercise!! We also took Puccha, the dog. That was extra fun and I can see how people have dogs now- they have so much personality!
We didn’t follow just one path, so we have no idea how far we hiked- but the elevation changed drastically and we climbed in a bunch of rocks. We took pictures from the summit and Boston was far off in the distance!
It was fun and I want to go back!
On my visit back to Kentucky last month, one of the things I did was volunteer with co-workers for Habitat for Humanity.
A group of about 10 of us joined about 20 others from our work on a Friday afternoon.
Us girls mainly stayed on the ground level and put up things on the sides.

We got to meet the future homeowner and she was a hard worker! If you get the chance to volunteer, I recommend it. It was a great team-building exercise, along with helping to build a house for those that need it.
We’re in Louisville for the week/weekend and it’s party-time! We went to a friend’s wedding last night and we prepping for my aunt and uncle-in-law’s 25th wedding anniversary party that my mil is throwing!
I got to have breakfast with Lynn yesterday too!
