Earlier this week, I went to Z Salon for a 30 minute massage. My spa “experience” lasted an hour and a half though. I have had 2 other massages before, but this was really different and much more awesome!

They say to arrive 30 minute early. I walked in and they showed me to the Women’s Dressing area. They had nice, wooden lockers to put your valuables in. Then you put on a robe and slippers. You could also use the sauna. I passed because it was already 100 degrees outside. Someone came to get me and got me a drink. We went upstairs where I sat in a reclining chair and drank my Sprite, and read a magazine. That itself was relaxing. I have no idea how long I was there, I didn’t really care.

This isn't Z-Salon, but it looks similiar
My massage therapist came by and got a bowl of warm water with a scrub ready. She greeted me and asked me about why I was there (celebrating anything, etc). She scrubbed my feet and massaged my hands.

We went into the spa suite and I told her this was my 3rd massage (still a newbie). She asked where she should focus and I said neck and shoulders mainly. I’ve been stressed lately. She asked about stress, tension, and energy levels.

Again, not my room but close
My room had 2 tables, so I thought it would be neat to have to go with someone else and get it done together!
She also asked which scents I liked. I said fruit, and then citrus. She said she had grapefruit and then orange, so she used both. To spare you the details, it was wonderful.
I made my way back to the locker room and realized that it was an hour and a half later- I was floored. I had no idea it was that late. But I deserved it!
And that is a great start to my monthly “me” activity for August!
